Windows 10 October 2018 Update Continues to Struggle – Just 6.6% PCs Have Been Upgraded to the Latest Version

Numbers for December are in and they paint quite a dreary picture of the latest Windows 10 version. AdDuplex stats show that version 1809 continues to struggle, going from 2.8% market share in November to just 6.6% this month. Note that we normally see a huge surge in adoption rate when Microsoft makes a version available to everyone, opening the floodgates.

However, the earlier experience and redundancy of issues is continuing to scare users off. Even Microsoft itself has advised users not to manually install the update on their devices if it’s not available for them through the Update Assistant. There are also multiple Windows 10 October 2018 Update upgrade blocks that are still in place.
